Gear stick movement under acceleration

Postby scottellis88 on Tue, 03 Dec 2019 6:25 +0000

Hello fellow Hilux owners.

It’s been happening to me a while now. That long it has became the norm... but what is actually normal??

When accelerating my gear stick (manual) and hi/low range stick pulls to the right. It can travel around 20-30mm if Going hard.

I imagine it is one of my mounts somewhere which has some play? Has this happened to anyone else? How much travel in the stick would you say is normal?

Jow much play does the stick itself have when in gear? The bush at the bottom can wear and give you heaps of slack.
