Aftermarket CV shafts

Postby sparky on Mon, 19 Aug 2019 10:24 +0000

I recently bought online a pair of cv shafts for my 2005 KUN26 Hilux, when they tried to fit them they found that the diff splines were different and would not fit, the supplier was contacted and he confirmed that they were the correct shafts and had sold many pairs with no problem, has anyone had this problem and has an explanation to the issue.

Mate, that's a bummer. I ordered new shafts the other week for my KZN165R. I didn't have a problem fitting them. Where did you get them from? I would think the supplier should correct this issue with a replacement, especially if he is certain they are the correct ones.

The "BushRanger": 2002 KZN165R, 3.0L 1KZ-TE, turbo diesel

I bought some online earlier this year, even gave the VIN when ordering, but when they went in they were too long, binding up.
So I think there might be some incorrect specs doing the rounds with some manufacturers.
