Clutch noise and movement - only half depressed

When I slowly depress my clutch when taking off I get some noice and movement that can be felt on the pedal.

With a fully pressed and with a fully depressed pedal I don't notice anything.
I've got 90.000 km's on the clock, no towing.

Did some dusty roads last weekend but no real off-roading.

It might just be a piece of the clutch place itself that is sticking out a bit due to some sand ingress or something like that (and will grind away over time).

Any thoughts?
if it was the bearring I should still be noticable when the pedal is fully pressed, correct?

I know your pain. I bought a small inspection camera off eBay for next to nothing for jobs like this. The one I bought plugs straight into my phone.

It's probably the spring plate but as these things go they can be hard to diagnose. Had my gearbox out twice now searching for a similar noise. New clutch and now no noise.

My bloody clutch makes plenty of different noises in different conditions. Beem this way for years lol. I know mine is the spring creaking and a dry pivot point on the engaging arm. There is two bearings in there, that can make noise with foot on or off the pedal.

@hiluxxury I don't feel the need to get the noise away as I'd be able to get used to it quite fast. Just wan't to limit the change I can a random breakdown especially on something I should have seen/heard earlier

Sounds to me like it’s possibly the throwout bearing.

Foot fully off it isn’t in use. No noise

Move through the free play till the clutch lever pushes the throw out bearing and it hits the pressure plate.
Noise should start but it should continue through fully depressed.
If it starts later. Aka after the clutch is disengaged it may be the pilot shaft bearing/bushing.

Till you get in there you won’t truly know.

I seen some weird stuff happen to clutches as a truck mechanic over the years.
Bits of pressure plate flying around in there can make a strange random noise. Total pads have come free which is a weird one too. Then you have the total failure which is always fun [emoji48]

my mechanic told me it was likely the clutch bearing (only have the full explanation in dutch) is likely the cause. Might have been wet. When fully pressed there is so much pressure on the bearring it can't be heared (yet) but halfway trough it's just lightly pressured and can be heard.

He recons it might break one day but is more likely to outlast the clutch itself even if that takes another 100K km's

result, no action taken, unnecessary costs avoided.
