Slip in front section of 2-piece driveshaft?

Postby sbc_lux on Mon, 16 Oct 2017 5:13 +0000

Hopefully a quickkie for someone whos had the 2-piece driveshaft off a 2wd 5spd KUN Hilux... Is there a slip yoke in the front section of the 2-piece shaft?

My truck is/was a manual, its had an LT1 V8 and auto conversion in the past so the front section of the 2-piece shaft has been modified to suit that trans (which slips at the output shaft), Im doing another engine swap on it at the moment and will be putting back to manual (TR6060 6-speed). Want to know if I need to get a slip yoke in there somewhere, or I can just use the rubber donut thingee off the back of the TR6060 and get away without a slip in the front section since the movement of the diff should be covered by the rear section of the shaft...

Thanks
