tgibbo, could it be a bent tailshaft? I had one of those a while ago. Vibrated like shit and took me a while to work it out. Might be worth a look. Also check all engine and gearbox mounts including tailshaft centre bearing.

hi tigbbo,a tyre out of balance does get worse over corrugations. another possibility if they have balanced the tyres is a sepo (separating tyre). If you run your hand over the tread very lightly you can feel the lump in a sepo tyre and don't forget to check for dirt buildup on the inside of your rims if its got sr5 alloys

brett they did not ballance the wheels and i have been doing a lot of mudding latly so i might blow some of the dried mud out of inside the wheels or send it in for a service next week and get them to figure it out

tgibbo, my experience is you will have to remove the rears to get all the mud off, whiles there off just run you hand over the tread to check for sepo

washed a heap of mud out of the wheels and still there i will take the rears off tomorro and clean them properly and check for sepo, i think it will have to be 1 of these 2 things as i have had a bent axil befor in my old work ute and the vibration used to get worse with speed and i would asume a bent tailshaft would do the same, also center bearing and all the uni's feel good

mate had this problem with a new VE SV6 ute. Took it down a dirt road in the wet, got some mud on the inside of his wheels, took it back to holden cos he didnt know what was wrong. Turned out the mud had f**ked the balance on his rear wheels and he needed to get them balanced again. Could be the same thing

Another possibility is that you have a tyre that just won't match the rim it is on. I have had that same problem with my Pirelli AT's. And still have it. They will all balance perfectly, then one or two won't balance up if you put them back on the machine. We haveto keep check on which tyre is which so the good ones go on the front, this seems to get it under control. I no longer go to the tyre shop that sold them to me as they refused to do anything about it, just told me I should et them balanced on the car. I change wheels/tyres to go 4WDing so that is oput of the question.

i found out the problem, 1 of the wheights had fallen of my back right wheel and it also had a gouge out of it rom a earlyer incadent, its all ballanced up now and no vibration, latlylux my tyers are really hard to balance to the have to put about 4 weights on each wheel all next to eah other or pop the tyre off the bead and rotate it 180*.
