CLUTCH ISSUE!! SOS HELP

Postby Bigazzsnaz on Wed, 08 Mar 2017 8:44 +0000

Hi all, I've got a 2008 sr 4x4 dual cab hilux. I pulled into up hour drive way today after an hour of driving and put my foot on the clutch and then released it and it's staying down, I can pull it up with my hands, when my foot is all the way down on the clutch the gears don't engage, need it fixed asap, also rear main has a tiny leak but nothing really to worry about, changed gearbox oil 1000km ago. New clutch? What's the fastest way as this is my only car. Is it defiantly clutch or something else? And help and advice would be much appreciated.

Check your slave cylinder isn't leaking and is pushing the clutch fork when the pedal is pressed (located on the passenger side bell housing)

Master cylinder and slave cylinder are probably rooted get them both changed if one is stuffed then the other will probably be on the way out

Hey mate. Did you fix the problem?
Ive got the same issue. I swapped out the master and slave cyl. Everything was good for about a week now its stuck down again. Just wondering if you found any other parts causing the fault.

Cheers
