Pretty sure 100000 klms is the recomended change period, i no the price of a new belt is alot cheaper then a whole heap of bent valves.
As far as im concerned driving style doesnt mean anything when it comes to the belts, at 140000 ks if it hasnt been changed i wouldbt hesitate in getting it done..

You still have 10000k before the big service, timing belt, injector lines and all fluids..... don't expect much out of a couple of grand.

Im pretty sure the 3.0ltr diesel motors arnt and interference engine, which means if the timing belt does break valve to piston damage will not occur.... Its a free spinning motor as far as i know, anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong

Ive never heard of people changing injector lines! I think the only time you would have to change the injector lines is if you had a bad batch of fuel....

When I did the training on the new common rail diesels they made mention that Toyota recommends replacing the injector lines at 150000k when the timing belt is due.

This is due to the amount of pressure that is inside the lines and Toyota thinks thats the maximum service life before failure.

Apparently the new 3.2Lt Mitsubishi engine has the have them replaced every 75000k.

Suppose thats what happens when you are running over 20000 psi pressure.

A small leak (pin prick) can take your finger or other body part clean off.

I will look into it a bit more.

I will ask for recommandation from them(dealer).first times heard about need change the injector lines.closely believe in due to my places still using low euro 2 diesel...sad...Some of my hilux fellow cause d4d engine problem because of fuel problem.diesel pump and injector heads get dirt easy from impurity diesel.oh!one more thing, changing timing belts together with engine coolants thats had been asked my dealer. :D
