Anybody used a Drivetech HD clutch? It's what Ultimate are offering these days, but I can't seem to find a great deal of info on it

fwiw, I'm running a BRC clutch. specced and installed by 1KD Performance

it's been handling the extra power from my beasty with no issue

Im also running a brc clutch. Its not super heavy compared to standard. Its good for lots and lots of torque and power. Mine was done thru baileys diesel group in wollongong.

I have a npc clutch.cant fault it.fitted by baileys diesel.standard feel compared to factory but has heaps of bites Definitely a quality clutch.

Clutch cost me $950 +fitting.
Depends on the shop but baileys were well priced.

Depends on what you want just the clutch or a new fly wheel as well. I had am exceedy tuff clutch in mine i dunno how long it lasted as the previous owner had put it in only lasted me about a year or so before it went so im tipping there also good

If you;re just after HD clutch, plenty of options, if you want to hold power, then NPC or BRC are pretty much your options.

For vehicles with the small factory clutch, we recommend the NPC (as the brc is not awesome on the small diameters). But if yours has the 11" flywheel, we recommend the BRC. Significantly cheaper than the NPC (due to not needing a flywheel), good pedal feel and ultimately will hold 300whp (plenty enough for virtually everyone).

So straying a little off topic...

But what kind of feel does your OEM clutch have? Since I've owned my 2012 SR (76k on the clock when bought) the clutch has had a very small distance from disengaged to engaged and has an almost push button feeling. Is this normal? Are they meant to have a decent amount of travel from disengaged to engaged?

There should still be a decent amount of meat left on it as it hasn't slipped or given me any issues apart from bumpy gear changes.

Thanks for the input, BDG. When you say 'has the 11" flywheel', what dictates whether your vehicle has this? Year of manufacture, or previous replacement of the clutch?

Can anyone comment on the 4 terrain clutch long term? Just Spoke to my mechanic about them and he reckons a couple of his mining company clients were not getting a lot of life out of them and then went back to OEM. Has anyone had similar experience?

So mine just went. Didn't do any irregular or insane sort of driving. No big trips, just weekend camping and what not. I don't even tow anything either. Clutch only made appox 45 000kms and hasn't even been in my car for 2.5. Not happy! I will be going back to genuine. they do have a warranty period of 3 years or 50 000 kms, but I reckon I will get turned away saying that I've abused the clutch.

Yeah I went back to Genuine... but i know someone in the business. Toyota buy their clutches from AISIN. so if you wanna get it a bit cheaper have a look and find someone who supplies them
