The new strut shaft was way to thick - Monster Rides diff drop relocation brackets moves CV shaft forward as well as down to create extra relief of CV angle. Supplier said it wont be a problem... but

Looked good but the bands are much thinner than OEM and difficult to gauge how tight to wind

Obviously not tight enough

These bands were never a long term solution
Picked up a couple boot clamps from Toyo dealership

Did a ton of reading - it appears that unless you clean the grease from the mating surfaces it will continue to leak
An exercise in patience cleaning out the grease 20 odd times with a new clean cloths to get it completely dry
The smooth edge of a allen key worked well to get the cloth inside the boot

This tool doesnt quite get the band tight enough - that gap between the crimps should be 0.8mm
Did consider getting SST 09521-24010

But at over $200 US decided to get a OTC 4722 CV Boot Clamp Installer for about 1/4 the price
Another 2 week wait...
