Am I right in thinking that installing a diff lock in the rear, would mean you lose the LSD in the rear ?

Would/could make wet weather driving around town a tad safer, Ive nearly lost it twice now (unintentionally 8-) ) sliding around roundabouts. This could be the deal clincher for getting a rear locker. 8-)

What does one cost installed ? EDIT: Ive found them online for $1179, shipped, from 4WD direct online, plus a compressor and fitting etc plus labour to install, I guessing arund $1800 installed.

Id considered it a dream to have a diff lock, maybe its not so far fetched.

Lancair.
Mine was $1400 installed, I had the compressor already and it brings your sums up to around right at $1800 ish installed with compressor. You lose the LSD and get it back in the same box you bought the Locker in. (it becomes an open diff again no LIMO.) But looking at your profile would invest in some good tyres first before the locker. They are briliant and work like a dream downhill as well, as braking in the rear is locked as well which gives you more controlled descent. I would take a locker over buying the Warn winch as it is more practical and have used the winch once to drag someone else out locker has been used a dozen times plus now. The problem with the locker is you tend to drive over stuff that tends to drag the underbody out of your car. So you need more mods again. LOL. Lift, Sliders etc
