4x4 Light Flashing

Mine has just started playing up on the drive home yesterday from a weekend playing in rivers
Looks like I have a job for tonight

Problem 1 - I've noticed lately they when engaging 4wd the gear stick is really hard to move in to H4. Could this be just from not using for a few weeks?

Problem 2 - Only this weekend I've notice once I change back to H2 the 4wd light stayed on until I turned the car off. Once I engaged H4 again the 4wd light started flashing and now it doesn't come on at all even when in H4 & L4. I know the SR doesn't have the ADD and I can't seem to find anything on SR models with this issue. Could it be the sensor playing up? And where would this be located?

Have you gone thru water or rough tracks recently? Any mods/work done on the car recently?

I have tried the search function. A lot about the SR5 but couldn't find anything relating to the SR.
No rough tracks mate.
I got a new heavy duty clutch about 5000kms ago and replaced some stuffed tough dog front shocks.

hey Guys my Toyota has the 4wd light flashing at the moment as well and I was just wondering the light you guys have had flashing wouldn’t happend to be orange would it ?? Or is it green ? Thanks
