2006 2WD PropShaft Replacement

Postby islandflyer on Wed, 22 Dec 2021 11:18 +0000

Our 2006 2WD 4 Door driveshaft bit the dust. Looks like we need to replace the entire thing. I can't find anywhere online to order it, and the dealer wants more than I am willing to spend on an old truck, just for the part.

Does anyone know a junkyard or somewhere I can call that would be willing to ship? Or an alternative part that can be used for the 2006, ie. a newer year that may be available online or using a 4WD replacement somehow etc? Hoping there's some trick to getting a replacement.

The part numbers is 37100-0K201.

Pics of damaged below. Unfortunately it's on another island right now so this is all I have to go by.

Thanks for any advice!

If the shaft is ok there's a possibility that the ends can be replaced. Look for someone who does driveshaft repairs or transmission specialist.
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.

Id be-ringing up the local wreckers here it wouldn't be too hard to find another shaft as I live in shitsville they'd probably use there computer to find one from Melbourne

Not sure they post to the Bahamas though ;) and it looks from the pictures that grease isn't the only problem.. salt water might be a bigger one :D

Broken universal end might be one too, maybe more than just grease ;)
