Mine was a pick up and had the rub removed and a tray fitted so that way there was nothing to pay for a reversing camera. So guess thats why mine has the lines. Only thing is I have 2 keys as the petrol cap is a different key and a tab inside the ute that used to open the fuel door

unichip Q4 day tomorrow. In the end I decided to go with whole new installation. The injector driver has been upgraded recently to the new HV injector driver so the old Q4/I6P driver and harness out of my 2010 will be up for sale. Bit of a shame being it's only 12 months old but by the time you replace the harness to suit the 2.8 it's not really worth it, particularly considering the I6P driver will work but has been updated.

The new one will be integrated via the CANBUS into the ECO/POWER button on the auto giving it 3 selectable maps. It will be good to see what effect the extra power has on the autos behaviour. Also keen to see effect on fuel consumption as I'm hoping it holds gears a little better.

Will more torque have and effect on the shift habits of the auto? I've never had an auto before so have never paid attention to how they work.

Also installed a 750CCA 66h battery today to accomodate the winches power requirements. I'm still surprised the stock battery was not up to the task at 490CCA

here are the results. feels really good so far and looks like fuel consumption has come down a fair bit. will see how it goes long term but initially i am really happy. its exceeded my expectations.
Keep in mind tyres are 265/70/17 so slightly larger than stock

Can you repost the Dyno curves showing the torque scale on the RHS? It is an odd looking torque curve unless it is a very small torque band shown.

If you click on the image you can see the whole graph. Sorry tried to repost but didn't work

Pretty flat power band 90-100kw right through the range at stock isn't too bad.

I agree, very different to my D4d

CNJ said my auto came up about 10kw less at stock than a manual they recently did. That's a fair bit lost in auto and tyres.

It's hard to feel the engine characteristics in the auto compared to a manual. I do miss the manual but the auto also has it's place.

My SR Cab Chassis camera does not have lines. I would like them but it is what toyota deliver.

I had a Richards Auto Electrics Torque converter lock up kit installed yesterday by Just Autos. Early indications are it's a winner. Far nicer to drive, better economy. I was starting to regret buying the auto but this could change everything. I'll post some economy tests once I've done them. Should be easy enough to roughly repeat the same test, just switch it off.

So far though the biggest improvement in economy is the around town/everyday. It looks like it's down from an average of 13.8l/100 to about 11l/100. Highway will come down a little too, maybe .5-1l/100. I will replicate some trips a few times to verify.

Also had another dyno run done and it came back with a higher output of 185bhp at the wheels. First runs I posted didn't ramp up well and didn't produce correct power due to overly sensitive throttle setting

Saw your truck in the flesh at the shops the other day. Looks tough and like the wheels, the +7 offset seems to still sit within the guards ok?

What length and width are your tray and canopy, looking at getting a tray and canopy made but not sure what size to go.

Thanks
