My 2016 SR Extra Cab build

Hi Guys I have just recently received my new 2016 SR Extra cab 6 speed manual 2.8
I was a bit annoyed that I couldn't get it in an auto which the misses wanted, and that it doesn't come as a cab chassis and you have to pay for the tub only to discard if fitting a tray, even though the vehicle had to be ordered from the factory.
Wouldn't you think it would be easier for them to not have to make the tub nor fit it in the first place, I don't know it does my head in thinking about it..
Any way after a very long wait it finally arrived.
I ordered it stock standard and got them to throw in the headlight and bonnet protectors as well as genuine seat covers, but I paid for the window tinting.
Have to run will be back soon to finish this off... ;)

I've heard that about the xtra cab been manual only. It's strange that with all the variants that they can't put a auto in or a tray.

Back to it, sorry for the delay.
Next up was to get the wheels and bulbar and winch fitted.
I purchased the bulbar{ MCC Phoenix about} 3 weeks prior to the vehicle being delivered so as I could paint it before being fitted. The Guys at Offroad Central in Deception Bay did a great job and the wiring of fog lights etc was very neat. The rims are Tuff T01 from Redback tyres in Clontarf and fitted straight into the standard tyres 17"x 8". ImageImageImage

Then I started on building the tray to suit it.
I have added my own twist to these trays as you will see in the photo's. I don't believe anyone else does as good a tail light surround section as mine. It has a 63.5mm tube headboard just to be different as I think the 3" ones look a bit large. Anyway see what you think.
Here is some shots as I am building it and also some of the finished product.ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Mate I can't give the cost away because I have started my own business producing them, but let me tell you that it was cheaper than the Toyota genuine tray at $ 3000.00.
I will give any member of this site a 10% discount on any custom tray I build for them..
Cheers.
