Hey mate, yeah I might consider the black bar hey, I'll try to find some pics of what it will look like, just have the impression it might make it look a bit "fleet vehicle" or "industrial" if that makes sense? Saying that, the black will hide scratches etc better than blue I would assume...

And for these sliders, I know you have told me before, but where is your mate located again? I'm keen to have a chat to him about them...

Cheers again

His in Berkeley vale mate if you want to have a look at mine just shoot me a pm and we will catch up, I see you around lake haven every now and then. He will make up what ever you want how you want it and his work is top notch and turn around time better then any other, mine were done and installed in 6 days
If you go with a blue bullbar it will look odd with black sliders and other black highlights, the Sahara bar definitely doesn't look commercial
Shoot me a pm I'm available most nights

Tough rig bud!

Just ordered the same tyre rim package today by coincidence. Going from sr5 rims to sunnies, did you need to get new wheel nuts?

Thanks mate

Yeah definitely going to do the sports bars and rear bar black too. And when you say the loop, do you mean on the UVP? No option for that it comes red, but if I could be bothered I'll probably get that done blue haha

And yep, will definitely be time for sliders when I get it back :)

Hey mate, sorry for the seriously late reply, haven't been on here for a while! The bar got held up for a while, but yeah, all fitted up now! Really happy with it! At the same time i got heavier duty springs put in the front to allow for the extra weight, sits perfect with them in. I also powdercoated the bar tube and the rear sports bars satin black.

I ordered a GME AE4705B 6.6db antenna for freeway travelling, with a GME AW4701B 2.1db whip for when im on the beach and hilly terrain (they are interchangeable using the same HD spring mount), and got a GME TX3550S UHF with them, they should turn up tomorrow.

I'm looking into some spotties now too, I love the ARB Intensity LED's, but there's NO way I'm spending like $850 per light, I'll probably just go a pair of Narva HID's or something like that...

Also, a Safari snorkel, ARB Deluxe roof racks, and ARB under vehicle protection will be coming as soon as funds allow...

Also going to get a 2 inch body lift and an extra leaf put in the rear, so the rear will come up another 3 inches, and the front another 2, that will give me plenty of clearance for some bigger rubber soon...

Here's a couple of pics...

Looks great buddy, just remember if you put a body lift in there will be a gap on the front bar to the grill and lights ( another 50mm ) and you will have to get the sliders measured and made after the bodylift goes in .

Cant describe how beautiful that color is!
With that wheel setup, does the outside wall of the tiers stick out from the fender?

What are you going to do with the last bit of chrome on your rear bumper?

Cheers for the comments guys, pretty happy with the way it's starting to take shape :)

Caleebra, yeah man they do stick out, although not much, maybe 7-8mm? Saying that, when I put another 20,000kms or so on these I'm going to go much more aggressive and replace them, these are +10 offset, next I'm thinking I'm going to go something like a -10 to -15 with 33's

Raven, in all my excitement I didn't even consider that ffs :? Guess it's back to the drawing board then haha Might go extended shackles in the rear, and suspension spacers in the front...

Marsh, haha yeah man been fighting this chrome for what seems like forever, its everywhere!! But I'm going to rip it off and get it powdercoated too on my next day off 8-)

Oh, also looking to get a 3 inch turbo back exhaust fitted. Does anyone know if doing that will void my warranty or not? Also, fitting a turbo back, which includes the dump and cat, will I need to get it tuned? Will it throw an engine light? Cheers again fellas

Try and avoid extended shackles and strut spacers if you can the shackles will harden the ride with the angle and the strut spacers are a bad idea

Here's something to consider, if it's a daily driver and your dead set on the master truck look with big tyres do it right with a proper kit BUT you will sacrifice handling and drivability without doing it right and changing the diff ratios to suit, that's one thing I have done with every hilux I've built.

It's to nicer car to ruin the drivability

X2 on what raven said, no strut spacers! I'm sure many on here r a little sick of me saying how bad they r but hey! Doin a body lift can be a big job if ya already have bar work but ya don't sacrifice and ride quality etc. Also remember the bigger the offset the cutting bashing you'll be doin to guards and body mounts!
