Nice colour choice :D Not a fan of the carbon wrap myself but each to their own :D

Are the reverse sensors unprotected? Looks like they could get ripped off if you bottom out the back end, just something to be aware of :)

Yeah mate, just used plastidip and taped up around it, did 4 coats with 30 mins between each coat, for et coat a light dusting. Then when you peel it away it peels away from the edge of the badge by itself, super easy to do.

Cheers mate yeah i was stoked to pick up this colour!

And yeah, I was 50/50 on it but I just have never been a fan of chrome on cars, it will look more in place when the bars get powder coated a d the black wheels a d bigger tyres are on, looks a little out of place right now I agree.

And you've got me looking at the sensors now, hmmmm :/

Ok had a look at the sensors, they unscrew from the underside, so if im going on the beach or something it would take 5 mins to unscrew them, and I can just stuff them up into the rear bar. Annoying, but ithey come in handy with my small garage

I always thought it was ducks guts? :lol:

Hey mate, love the ute, its tidy as, a few questions, what did you use to black out the badges, and the carbon wrapping, how hard was it to do? and was it just cheap carbon wrap? or the better 3m stuff?

Cheers,
Jacko.

Cheers mate

And I just used Plastidip for the badges, so easy to work with!

And I got a mate to do the carbon wrapping, I've tried and it is a bit of a pain in the ass, i dont have the patience for it lol But he used the better quality 3M stuff, the other stuff is pretty cheap and nasty.

So pumped, ordering some gear today for the Lux;

BFGoodrich KO2 265/70R17
Dynamic black sunnies 17x8 +10 offset

2" Lift - Front only to level it out
Bilstein shocks with King Springs

Now I'm going to order a compressor too, but undecided between these 2 (I know they're very similar but not sure if one is better than the other);

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DR-AIR-PRO-F ... XQbflSMANz

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MEAN-MOTHER- ... xy7S5SBH5b

Anyone had experience with both?

Hey mate,

DEFINITELY open to suggestion here, I'm just going on reviews etc. For example, 4WD Action mag rated the Dr Air the best compressor on the market for the price and said that it actually out performed the ARB... BUT, I'm also thinking they probably paid for that result, if you get what I mean...

Yours been good to you mate?

+1 for arb compressor, goes pretty neat under the bonnet too ;) As an added bonus it's only an extra $200 with a locker till the end of the month :D

Image

also, back to the reverse sensors, do you really need them? Camera shows the rear bar:

Image

unless that's only with the ARB rear bar, can't remember what it was like before I got that put on :lol:

Sweet guys seems like a pretty overwhelming majority rate the ARB job, so might go for that one...

Are they any good as a portable unit or just designed to be hard mounted? I like the idea of a portable compressor only because I can take it with me if we're in a mates 4wd etc. Also, don't they get too hot under the bonnet?

Cheers again guys for the input
