Not forgetting the new Rogue will have rear discs if you're willing to wait a further 12 months for delivery.

Hilux, and Toyota, are being left for dead by almost all other manufacturers.

But we still buy them.
I might be wrong.

2005 SR Hilux 1KD - SOLD
2009 BMW X5 - destroyed by a hail storm
2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 - SOLD

I like my analog 2022 Hilux. Really the only tech I need is CarPlay, cruise control and 4-wheel drive with a locking diff and my Hilux has that.

I think you've hit the nail on the head here ... What one "wants" versus what one "needs" are often rather varied in nature.

Right on Rob, too much high-tech means much more to go wrong. Who needs disc rears anyway? My drums stop 2.5tonne just fine... Unless of course if you race your hilux  but then who would? They would be great at the end of 'conrod straight'. Methinks the high-tech competition is like watching 'my dad your mum' or 'Megan and Harry'... Totally nuts!
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.

Bit soon after dad for my mum I think. I'm sure your dad is fine, but still too soon.
I also have to ask, who's Megan & Harry?

Some people think putting an ashtray on a motorcycle is advancing technology, or a hip-pocket on a singlet.
Who needs widescreen TV in their hilux?? And if you can't park your car without self-parking technology you shouldn't hold a license.
My dad would be 104years old so he wouldn't need any help from me to find a new mum. Mum would be 106 so neither would she.
