Back with a new Hilux

Postby 06xtracab on Fri, 08 Jul 2022 8:18 +0000

Greetings to forum members.

Left a while back, due to life getting in the way.

Took possession on a brand new Hilux today.
A Hiride 2WD dualcab, Cab Chassis, GUN135R.

Its a company owned vehicle, so I didn't get much choice but I wanted a tray not a tub, so it was built May 25th, and the Dealer rang me on Tuesday to say it was here. I get to drive it for a couple of weeks before the GPS tracker, Speed Monitoring, and decals etc get plastered all over it.

Isn't it good to now the boss trusts you to track everything you do.

Well when I first started with this company, the Colorado they gave me, (which this is replacing) had the systems already installed, and I was NOT impressed.

But I have since found out that they dont care TOO much, but said if I am involved in an accident, they would review the previous hours data. I was on Tonkin where it's 100 but the system said it was 70, and I called my boss and told him, which is when I found out.

Still. They bough the thing, and they pay for the fuel. It's only fair I treat it with a little respect.
