Removing 2017 wing mirror indicators?

I’ve managed to smash an indicator on my 2017 SR5 wing mirror, I have replacement indicator to install but no idea how to remove the chrome plastic cover.
Rather than experiment & brake something, does anyone have any ideas, steps or video/images on how to go about getting the chrome covers off?
