Seatbelts lacking safety feature

Postby Burb122 on Sat, 13 Nov 2021 2:02 +0000

Hi all. Just sold my 2012 SR5 and jumped into a 2021 Cruiser. Got it home and went to install the car seats. The new Hilux doesn’t have a retractable ratchet lock for the seatbelts/use with car seats. Like ever other car in the word since ages ago ( my 2012 had this feature also )

Am I missing something/not doing something right? I’ve read the manual. It does not discuss this feature. How does it get the 5 star ancap?

Well if it's a 2021 cruiser you should take it back to the dealership because they owe it to you to explain the issue.
Cheers Gipsy :D although I'm sure somebody will challenge that  even Einstein wasn't certain of his theories.
