Mate, I can't imagine a scenario where you would want to put a locker on at speed. I'd highly recommend you don't do this mod, thats a disaster waiting to happen.

Hi Tony, sorry if I worded that wrong. What I mean is, sometimes when going up a slippery slope momentum helps a lot. Low ratio can be a little slow. Diff lock only works in low ratio, is there a way to have it activated in high ratio. No I’m not going to be trying to put it in diff lock while driving fast (don’t think it can go in while moving) and no I won’t be trying to drive 100km while in diff lock. Only trying to have a little more speed to get the momentum up a little to assist with the above scenario, or maybe even that really soft piece of sand at the beach etc.

Hey jake. I didn't even think about when you would engage the locker, my worry was having the locker on at speed, its not like a welded diff. Low gear S4 will go quick enough for almost any 4x4 situation.
I love lockers. My hilux is twin e-locked which has transformed the car from a pretty good 4WD to a very good 4WD.
You engage and disengage the locker/s when you are pretty much stationary and then move slowly forward whilst moving your steering wheel around. It usually takes a couple of seconds.
