The 2021 2.8 AT

New buyer here looking at the 2021 2.8 Auto trans. Any coments, reviews or input would be appreciated. I'm in Mexico and have the option of the Tacoma, but had my eye on the Hilux. Just a little curious about your take on the 2.8 diesel power. Most short distance will be used 80%, occasionally hywy 10% and off road 10%.

The 150kw of the diesel is no way the 207kw you'll get in the 3.5ltr Tacoma. The torque is a lot lower on the tacoma but the auto will deal with that for the most part.

In my view, the tacoma is a better looking car but it is Hilux-lite in terms of it build and purpose... for example the hilux has a full box frame where in the tacoma it is C-section from the back of the cab.

You will notice the 207kw the most.
