Changing Well decks

Hi, Have bought a new Hilux SR prerunner 2WD, want to remove the well deck and out an SR5 Well deck on it, is this something that can be done easily as the canopy im looking at will not fit on an SR

Nathan, yeah mate easy - Going on the previous gen tub swaps. If you have 3 mates or a gantry winch to lift it up its as easy as disconnecting the electrical looms and unbolt from chassis. You need to lift it higher than you might think so a winch or block and tackle helps.

Not sure about the new gen models but ya gotta be careful with the fuel flap release mechanism - easy to break on gen7
One of the bolts might be a bit tricky to access and some bolts might have thread locker - other than that easy
