Engine noise

Just purchased a new 2020 SR5 Hilux with a Safari snorkel fitted. Great vehicle but it has a lot more engine noise than my old 2010 model, has a Safari snorkel also. The noise appears to be coming from the engine not the snorkel, just noisey, especially when under load. Any one else notice more engine noise with the new motor?

I have the new rugged X which is basically a tricked up SR5 and it comes with a factory Toyota snorkel so not sure if there is a difference between Toyota and Safari snorkels.
I had a noise coming from the engine bay when I accelerated hard that didn’t sound right. I found the air box wasn’t clamped down properly. Once it was clipped shut it sounds great now. Might be worth a look.
