Postby Mudlock on Tue, 17 Nov 2020 3:36 +0000

Hey guys, have a 2015 hilux with a 2.8 and find it underpowered, I have a 6.0L L77 out of a VF with 30000k on it and was considering an LS swap just wondering if anyone has done it or know of any conversion kits out there for this model? TIA

A mate of mine did an LS7 swap into a 2007
Huge amount of work, and the front diff was never strong enough for it (put a 9 inch in the rear)
It became a money pit that he wouldn't consider doing again
If your not prepared to stand behind our Troops
Then try standing in front of them

LS1 has similar power and less torque than a supercharged V6, it or a stock LS2 should be fine.

Geez huh, I cant imagine how they were driving to do a front diff. The rear I can kind of understand but the front :?
I might be wrong.
