Hi guys,

I wanna take my rear seat out on my hilux.
Just wondering if it’s a big job or not?

Cheers, !!

Not really. It’s just a few bolts. A bit easier to lift it out with 2 people FYI

Just about 5 bolts, get the seat belt buckles out of their retainer loops then lift whole seat unit up of the clips that are behind the backrest. Fold the bases up onto the backrest first to make it easier to get through the door.

It's easy and only takes a few minutes, do it myself only. I take it out for longer trips then back in again when I'm home.

There will be a little more noise with it out, some foam sheet from Clark rubber on floor and rear wall will give you back the deadening.

The seat brackets are great for screwing in some heavy eyebolts to tie down anything else you may put in the space.

In Victoria no certificate needed for this, check the table here and keep a print out for when you are interstate: https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/registr ... cing-seats
