Shall see how this goes... it's not a safety issue and there I haven't seen long lines of 1GD powered vehicles lined up at my local yota dealer, so if I was a gambling person, I'd be betting on toyota winning this one.

It's an odd one to be honest. I know some people have had all manner of issues with their dpf but of the 2 hiluxes, 1 fortuner and 1 prado owners I know plus my hilux which I've had for nearly 3 years nobody's had any real issues. Mine blows a thin bit of white smoke every now and again during a burn but it's the type you really have to stare at to notice.

Who knows how any judgement may go. I saw a news article a couple of weeks ago where a bloke pushed hard and eventually got awarded a refund of the purchase price on his Triton because it didn't get the claimed fuel consumption. But he'd chucked on extra gear, changed to chunkier tyres and I think modified the suspension too, so it seems like a coin toss.

Old news. The few grumbles that did crop up here seem to have dried up after the service campaign.

Since the latest ECU update, whilst driving on the freeway at 110km/hr car can not complete dpf burn, comes to 14 percent and stays there forever (or over 90 minutes in this case) eventually going to 16 percent and then back to 14 percent.
Display on the screen keeps saying DPF regeneration in progress.

Had to stop and perform manual burn using torquepro app, heaps of diesel came out of tail pipe then.

Doing dpf burn in suburbian drvng, under 80km/hr takes only 15 minutes and no issues at all.

Hows it not a saftey issue, when my dpf blocks and goes into so called limp mode, but it isn't,just turns the dpf off.it also turns traction control off and a few other things.mine is the biggest peice off shit ever,on my forth dpf now and that one is stuffed, blows smoke everywhere,i drive 300klm off highway driving a day, they say they have fixed the issue but they haven't,I'm pretty sure the fifth injector keeps getting blocked,I have tried dpf cleaner from repco it seems to help a little bit, but they cost $28 a bottle then after a few weeks back to being blocked.

I joined as my truck has been into the dealer more than dozen times with dpf, fuel tank, blown head gasket and will be going in again for more dpf back to back burn off issues and shitty clutch. Toyota knowingly sold me a faulty vehicle as ACCC stated, they instructed dealers to make you return 4 or 5 times before replacing dpf.
When you buy a vehicle on finance and its not fit for purpose and you get nowhere near the fuel figures stated, plus time off work to take it back, dealers and toyota lying to you, it gets old pretty quick.
I know 4 people with new hilux 1 has had no issues at all, the other 3 have all had dpf problems, shit fuel economy, tail shaft problems etc. etc.
Must be nice to not have any issues with a brand new truck, I have owned 3 hilux and have never had any problems but won't buy another toyota.

How is mine 2018 model brand new model of current hilux mate?

Even in 10 years time if you buy this model (10 years old then) it will still have dpf and all the issues.

Non of this is any different to the issues the previous model had. Some went and still are goin without having a spanner on them yet others were lemons. But now all the issues are well known and have remedies. Every make and model of car on the road has it's list of issues. In the scheme of things the n80 is still new, the whole thing was made new from the ground up, this fact is what I mean by "new model" and why I don't buy a new model new. Good luck to the lads who got a lemon and wanna fight the big dogs. Stick it to em I say!
