G'day Guys,
Literally got my car back Thursday night from shop repairs and getting a new tab, so tailgate, liner & canopy all refitted. Cars done 65,000 & a solid 10,000 on dirt trails, never an issue aside from dropping windows. I went for a short trip into local national park that had a few flexing sections. Today was installing wings on my draws and noticed light, a clean crack through my canopy on side window to tub.
Has tape between it and all looks right. Not spoken to Toyota yet though what's people's thoughts as to why & what to check?
Has anyone else encounter similar issues?

G'day Stephen
I haven't noticed any cracks in mine, yet. 55000k with about 10000k of dirt road touring & some 4wding.
Pissed off that apparently the windows aren't supposed to be waterproof though.

It's a clean snap through.
I'm guessing it will be a warranty job, ......k me.

I've gotta say, with Dust Defence Seal Kit & canopy mines be waterproof. Once I blocked up the holes either side of tailgate (behind lights) it's been dust proof also.Image

Sure was though no about to go through a further warranty claim.
1. Window dropped scratching frame.
2. Canopy keeps leaking in stupid amounts of dust.
3. Internal support has failed resulting in top rail to roll forward loading onto canopy & now cracking roof.

When does it end?

Does anyone with the current EGR canopy have issues with the rear door closing and latching? Almost need to slam the hell out of it to close properly.

I believe they are all the same. Canopies in general are not a perfect fit no matter which brand.

Yes mine is the same. You can adjust the brackets to fine tune the fit or just bend them back out a little.

Another problem is the rubber on the light switch. Mines be replaced every service. The rubber just falls apart...

I had this issue. When locked if you turn the handle mine also releases the right hand latch.
I've had a nightmare time with the amount of water coming in as well. After a heavy rain I've found just over an inch of water in the tray.

Has anyone else had the same/similar issues?
