Hey all,

I have had a search through the content and couldn't find to much about the current head units and updating the maps.
I was quoted $350 through Toyota to upgrade them which is ridiculous.
A mate has just purchased the new face lifted model obvioculy with the latest map in its sd card.

I am wanting to try copy his files on his sd card to mine. Do you think there would be any issues?

It's been reported on another forum (fortuner) that toyota aus is close to doing a deal with garmin to do free updates.
Don't know if its true or not, but would be good.
Maybe we all need to pester the service managers when the cars go in for services!
