Hey Guys, long time since I’ve logged on, I hope you are all doing well.

A mate has bought a 2105 dual Cab Hilux SR5 with the 2.8 diesel.

I have done a search and read the book, but can’t seem to be able to reset the fuel average on the trip computer on the dash. It constantly reads 11.2/100, no matter what we do. He enters the cost of the fuel every time he fills up and the average figure never changes.

Even then, the “cost” always shows $0 on the dash too.

What are we doing wrong.

Not sure about the cost function, don’t use it, but to reset the fuel consumption average simply hold in the middle dot button on the RHS steeering wheel controls whilst on the fuel consumption dash screen. It actually says “hold (.) to reset” from memory.

You can also set it to reset after every trip in the meter customisation section.

Yep we’ve tried to hold that “dot” button in for up to 10 seconds, but doesn’t change. Just sits on 11.2L/100.

Will have a look in the setting when we get home.
