Fuel line

Postby Rickoo5 on Sat, 29 Oct 2016 3:13 +0000

I pulled off the side of the road today and a stick pulled off the fuel line where it joins the fuel tank. 50k later the fuel light came on and I has about 50L of diesel all over the Hilux. I didn't need any tools to put the fuel line back on it just slides on and the clips can be put on with you fingers. Dose someone make a plate to cover the part of the vehicle?

Hi "Rickoo5" Good point I have heard of this before & some of the hoses under there do NOT even have clips on them.
Never heard about protector plates but it might not be a bad idea. :o Cheers.

Image a photo of the fuel line. I have had Toyota 4X4s all my life and I have never seen something this vulnerable.
