2017 model

Postby oly on Thu, 20 Oct 2016 3:16 +0000

Does anyone know when the next model year(2017) is due out. In the past the new year model usually arrived around September but I can't seem to find any info that this happened. Also what will be different on new model?

I don't think there will be anything different on the 2017 model Oly. They have just released this new hilux and it will stay that way for some time. Toyota will do a face lift version sometime in the future but that will be a while away yet.

I heard somewhere they are gunna fix the horrible looking dash. Less like someone double sided taped an iPad to it and make it more like the fortuner which is heaps nicer.

Some of the overseas Hilux's come with "Safety Sense" so this could end up in the Australian model soon:

This package also includes adaptive cruise control which is great in the Ranger.

The Fortuner has one of the best interiors of all the 4wd wagons IMO, just the brown cloth is horrible, I'd buy one tomorrow if it was black. The salesman told me they (Toyota Australia) argued for it for months but the Japanese claim it's the latest thing... I noticed Mazda sneak some brown into their updated 3 series so he could be right.

I got 2 4x4 single cab sr's being built in Jan expected to arrive in aus late feb with delivery mid to late march (apparently thats how long it takes to put all the extras on).
Haven't heard from the dearler that there are any changes to that model. Still a long way off though, anything could happen!
