Gen 8 3rd Bash Plate not on 2015 built models

Hi Guys,
i had a search and couldnt see anything. google included.

Just had my 2015 built SR5 in for its 30,000km service
The service tech mentioned he noticed the 3rd bash plate missing. now i don't particularly remember seeing it under there. but then again i wasn't looking for it. and when the service guy tells you a bash plate is missing you kind of freak out haha.

i rung the dealer i normally service with and they are telling me the 2015 built Gen 8 didnt have the 3rd bash plate. but the 2016 gen 8 does.

So im wondering has anyone else heard of this? or has my previous dealer lost it and sending me on a wild goose chase?

Regardless if it's a 15 or 16 build Gen 8, they have a front bash plate, middle protecting the sump and the third is only small from the front crossmember and bends up to the front of the transmission pan

The manual hilux dont get the small plate that covers front of auto trans. The bolt holes are there though if you wish to purchase one but bit pointless really
