Those Toyota bars are paper thin, had a few mates with them from new, they lasted a handful of Roos if that, all are now running arb equipment.

I understood that the factory bar was made by ARB.

I'd heard that too mate, but honestly, I dont think the toyota gear and the arb summit range can be compared after a few animal strikes.

I hope your not comparing the last generation bars to the new as these new ones are made by Abcor in Cambelfield Victoria. Anyway, to answer your question, I was quoted $2600 fitted but I think that didn't include a winch mounting kit. The winch cost would depend on what you type you choose. I ended up paying $2000 for mine and fitted it myself.

The issue is with big strong ARB bars is your front suspension will fail, all may fail after sometime
due to the weight.

Tell me a vehicle available today where the suspension won't fail in time with the addition of a steel bullbar.

Stock suspension is designed to ride and handle for a stock car. Add weight then you need to increase spring weight and typically compression and damping rebound accordingly i.e. Aftermarket suspension required to suit. People with heavy steel bars, brush bars etc and stock suspension are really compromising performance and if driven hard the car will spend time on the bump stops. That's when damage / failures happen.
