I don't know about that, most just ship a product to 3 or 4 manufacturers and go with the best bang for buck. We now won't fit Arb or Tjm bullbars as there quality and fitting is below par. A new side rail for a Gu patrol is about half the weight of 1 from a few years ago.

Bullbars must be made here, the pimp that on their site? I am about to go for a Sahara bar, so Ill ask them

ARB Bull Bar Manufacturing
Follow an ARB bull bar through the entire manufacturing process. From a flat sheet of steel, experience every stage of our state-of-the-art factory in Melbourne, Australia, and take a unique look at the effort, passion and attention to detail required to build the world’s best 4×4 protection equipment.

Well thats very interesting, I'm certainly not opposed to being corrected, for us it was one problem after another in supply and quality. Even the bolts that come with certain bars are garbage, the spring washers split and break up. We were fitting about 7 or 8 a month at one stage, but now just subby them out.

Thanks for that, $2432.00 for a Sahara bar, so wouldnt be happy if they ship/install with poor quality fixtures.

Would be risky for ARB to do that I would have thought, as they have ADR certification for these bars, so sub standard fixtures would negate that I would have thought

Mounting System
The mounting system is a vital part of any ARB bull bar design. ARB\'s mounting systems are specifically engineered to spread impact and winching loads evenly over the vehicle\'s chassis. This ensures the bull bar functions properly in extreme conditions.

I've never heard much complaint in relation to the quality of ARB bars. They have been caught in the past with underdevelopment of new product in the rush to be first on the market with some fitment issues (e.g. bar to body gaps).

I think it's pretty safe to say that, in general, ARB bars will be top notch and with as good or better quality fittings than many of the other options on the market. That being said, they do charge for it (plus their marketing up-sell) and they aren't always the best looking bars, but that is subjective.

I got down to Brisvagas couple weeks ago & went to the 4WD Supercentre at Brendale. It a no frills warehouse basically, but they had on display all the stuff from their website. I found it to be pretty reasonable quality and value for the asking prices, although the proof of the pudding is in the eating, so the quality and durability will need to be assessed in the field.

I didn't buy anything as I had no room in the luggage on the plane, but I will be ordering some spotties and other stuff next time I see the free freight offer.

As in it's faulty or that's just the way its design?

I'm considering buying these drawers so any feedback would be great.

I found the drawers to be quite good. i to have the fridge catch problem which i just unbloted it and moved it closer to the catch worked a treat, i broke a handle off

But ended up selling it due to selling the canopy, Still better then arb and stuff

Oh yeah if you do much 4x4ing the bearings in the draw slides buckle pain in the ass to get the draw out if it happens to you

Sounds Great . If they fall apart Ill throw them on the rubbish pile .

Because they are going to get used reasonably hard in my 4wd

i loved mine dont get me wrong, these things happen even if you were to buy well known brand ive seen bad comments on black widows. Only thing with 4wd supa center no 2 things are same haha, you'll either get the typical aussie half ass job, or someone was having a good day :P

Sorry to bump an old thread but does anyone run their driving lights?

Cheap, but are they nasty?

I was looking at some 7 or 9 inch Korr or Stedi spot/spread combos.

I noticed 4x4 Supacentre have new gen driving lights.

Who’s running them?

I dunno about the new gen ones but I've had a set of 9in on for about a year and can't fault them. As I told my boss(the owner if an arb store) I could buy a new set of them every year for over ten years and still have change for a set if arb intensities! Hard to beat, bang for the buck!

I've been running a 9" set for 3 years and can't fault them
As TOYZX says great bang for your buck and you aren't paying for the brand name

Cannot fault the 4WD supacentre lights - cheap and bang for buck - if they don't work / get stolen I've done $200 - not $1000+..

Agree with fridge slide catch on drawers. Ordered another from them for $10. Works heaps better.

Purchased a big daddy swag and used it last weekend it worked great. We only go camping a few times a year so I figure if it lasts a few years I’m well in. The quality seems really good.

Rolling the beast up was a different story. It uses so much space as it’s huge, and I had to use occy straps to hold it as the straps were 12” short.

I googled rolling it up and none of the vids actually show rolling up with the foam mattress inside, they are flat as tacks when they demo. With the 70mm mattress, sleeping bag and blanket it was so hard to compress, needed me missus to help

I’m gonna take the mattress out and use a blow up instead. That’ll reduce it 65mm.

Any tips?

Get a self inflating mattress in there instead, they compress a lot when they're rolled up, plus shit over anything else out there, air beds are probably the worst. They can get a bit exxy, Snowys have a good one at a good price, check out the monstamats from zempire, reviews seem good.
