Also interested in getting one of these do you know how much they retail for and do you need to drill/alter anything or do they just bolt straight on?

Found the product release pdf for the arb recovery point, apparently if you have a bar fitted it needs to be removed to fit the point.

Yeah but have a look at what ya getting for 100! Two bits of 10mm plate with a coulle of holes drilled in it, ya could nock up it the shed with $20 worth of plate. Compare that to the arb one, I'd happily pay extra for it.

Sure does look like a piece of plate... what we really need to take into account here is the clean photo skills and excellent marketing blurb to get suckers to pay $205.80 for one!

I will give it to ARB... they know how to market their kit well.

Do you guys know if they fit without any mods to the ARB summit bar or the splash plates? With my 06 I had to re-fold the splash plates with non ARB recovery points.

Over the years ARB etc have made a lot of $'s off the back of the Hilux, it would appear now, by way of the time it's taking to get aftermarket gear on the shelves, they don't give a rats' arse about the Hilux .

Released last December it's taken till this last month to have the Frontier fuel tank and the Summit rear bar made available.

Hi Just two cents worth, I placed an order last December for a summit rear bar (two months even before I ordered the Lux ) Picked up a new SR5 mid April (two month wait from factory) end of April summit rear bar was ready & fitted along with canopy & front summit bull bar. That rear summit bar looks a million dollars could not be happier, anyone thinking about one just get it & DEFINATELY get the wings colour coded really finishes the rear end off. Was told by ARB
reasons for delays is they just cannot make them fast enough (ARB are doing every thing they can to fix that )for the Hiluxes because of their high volume sales to private & mine sales & others. Heard bars for the other rubbish sold can almost get them off the shelf. :)

I can confirm you need the ARB bullbar removed in order to install the recovery points. Stupid i think.

Yep DUMB! They want you to access the holes in the front of the chassis. Dumb idea! Some of the ideas their so called engineers come up with for mounting things it's like they got the coffee guy to do it!
