Hey Banhbao,
Sorry guys a newbie here and haven't been down the intro path yet.
Got my new hilux just before Christmas SR5 Dual cab auto.
Somewhere in my reading I found that the SR5 is pre wired and all you need to add is the short tongue.
Been looking for that quote but cannot find it.
I was initially quoted for the wiring kit as well but when I said that I read the SR5 was pre wired the salesman than went searching and found that was correct and took the price of the wiring kit back out.
If I find relevant info I will post a link
cheers

I have been quoted $50k driveaway which includes $7.5k trade in for 2016 SR5 with canopy tow bar and steel ball bar.

Any thoughts of if this is reasonable or not? I think it is around the mark

All depends how much you are losing out on the trade compared to private market value.

One way to find out ... Go back to them and say how much of the trade is taken out of the deal. If it only goes up to 57.5k and it is an auto then I say you've got a very good deal with the canopy and bar.

SR prices first time new car buyer

Postby christian500 on Fri, 05 May 2017 9:57 +0000

So i have never bought a new car but have been driving a 2006 SR5 hilux until it was written off yesterday.

Been quoted 45,890 drive away on a 2017 white tub inc mats

or 50,300 with
Tint
ARB summit bull bar
safari snorkel
toyota tow pack inc wiring
Tint
Alloys

extra 1850 for arb 2 inch lift kit.

Or
48980 with toyota bar

This is because i should be able to get primary producer status so free steel bar this month

What are your thoughts

I would prefer a tray but struggling to find one in stock. I have a brand new land cruiser multi fit steel tray that i have been told should fit i will fit this next time i have some time off.

I have a 2013 with all of this already - so I'm trying to decide if I get rid of the 13 or go to the 17. The 13 has about 61,000 km so its got ages still.

The bullbar and tray excluded its 55580.

Got the auto SR5 via a broker who got it from Brookvale, silver Sky, tints, mats, tub liner, tow bar and hard tonneau cover for $58,400 back in July. Now that Toyota are doing $54,995 auto drive away with tow and stow I could have got close to the same price doing this myself and maybe a bit better.

I got $3k cash for my Mazda 3, it needed new tyres, coming up to rego and the body was showing the strains of 12 years of ownership so I wasn't complaining.

Since purchasing I have upgraded the horns, added a bonnet protector ( I use this to help me see the front of the vehicle when parking as it sticks up slightly), wired in a switch and diode to turn on the reverse camera when towing my 6x4 trailer and added a small kicker underseat subwoofer.
