Snorkel last week, BFG KO 2s - 285/60/18 arrived early, now sitting on some Satin black King Daytonas. OME lift going in on Wednesday and still waiting for ARB Ascent canopy and colour coded front bar to arrive. Then the new Lightforce HTX 230's can go on.

Took them for an over night spin to Cape Bedford via Cape Trib' then out to Laura on the Battle Camp track. Back into Cooktown and the coast road again into Cairns.

Total of just over 900K.

I'd love to do a write up on them but I wouldn't have a clue where to start. :D

WOOT!

Should be getting mine installed early next week!

Don't be worried about pushing them Mutto as that's where they really shine.

And watch no one knocks off the BP-51 stickers that come with the hand book.. :)

Does anyone know why most of the bullbars on the new model require the bumper to be cut.? Even the toyota ones are cut. It looks like an add on whereas the old model ARBs and others were a total bumper replacement.

Because of the wide guards and no flares it tucks in nicely inside the line of the body. Pretty much the only 4x4 that doesn't require the bumper to be cut now days are the landcruiser utes. Its just the way it is I'm afraid. Allows the bar to sit lower also, more in line with the chassis for more direct impact and if a winch is fitted you want it sitting in line too.

The ironman bull bars don't require a bumper cut on the n80.

I must admit the ironman bar looks nice up and high. It does however make the winch very high giving it alot on leverage on the chassis. Ironman would want to have made some massive improvements on their mounts before I'd pull on it with a winch. Perfectly fine if you never intend to fit a winch tho![WINKING FACE]

I reckon the Ironman bar looks the pick of the bunch, it follows the lines of the car well and as stated is a full bumper replacement also it doesn't sit to far forward which is nice, as we know these new Hiluxes have a very deep nose, I have one going on in a couple of weeks. Years ago I would of frowned at a Ironman bar, but they have definitely improved a lot.

I reckon the Rhino bars, for looks, is the pick of the bunch.

Pity their service is so shit house, coming up close to three months I've been waiting.

Ironman might look pretty good, but they are utter shit in build quality IMO. I've said it before, don't come close to arb for quality.

Been looking into this bar for the same reasons, would be keen to see some pics once installed and get your take on the build quality.
