I would assume hybrid, But that is just me speculating.
I have to say, I'm looking forward to toyotas response to the other manufacturers.
See if it is a strong game changer again.

Looks like this is the most credible information so far:

No mention of flux capacitor though! :P

I heard from a very reliable source, my Lebanese neighbours sons fight club partners girlfriends boss, that the flux capacitor will be released in the 2017 model, so I'm afraid we will have to wait for that one.

The latest I read was two diesel options the largest being a single turbo 2.8 putting out around 130 kw with 6 speed auto or manual. The other two engine options supposedly are a 2.4 is diesel and a sub 3 litre petrol.
The interesting news is the upper models are to have disc rear and coil suspension all around while a more basic trade/ mine version with leaf/ drum will still be available.

Also the Forerunner is to return making the Prado questionable.

Im still holding off for Toyota to do something along the lines of the Raptor..........
I may be waiting a very long time.

If it will be a bmw 4 cylinder engine it will suck. Bmw four cylinder diesel since 2007 have alot of timing chain problems. They are as thin as a bicycle chain and brake and rattle on most engines.

A journalist taking his information from a forum site in Thailand? Maybe he is the blow up dolly?
Maybe, he will be reporting on the flux capacitor model soon, found on this site.
There is no credibility with these people, anymore.
They are like real estate agents, which I may add, is a big part of the journalist industry, anyway. Paying there wages, that is, of cause.
I have heard that TMC are bringing it out without an engine in it. You install your own engine. :P

How about everyone here is wrong. Maybe it's made in China under the JAC motors brand as a JAC Vigor.
Website shows how "powerful" the engine is.
Is there anything the Chinese won't copy?
