The factory horn is a joke

Leave the factory horn alone, and add an air horn. Best $20 air horn I eva bought....

This might just be me, but I don't think I've used my horn in the two and a half years I've owned this hilux. Hell, I wouldn't even know if it works! Far as I can see the money would be better spent somewhere else. But that's just my opinion.

Hutchyman80, I reckon if you haven't used your horn in the time you've had your Hilux, I think you need to go and press it. It sounds like it should be in one of those tiny Smart cars or something.
I reckon once you hear it, you'll have to change it just knowing how shit it sounds..

Nah, I'll probably just make sure I never use it. The only time you need the horn is when your middle finger is missing!

Drive around Sydney Centre for a week. You will know why it’s there. And I agree it’s pathetic. Just can’t justify the money right now.

Stebel horn. EBay. Compact air horn, need to use a relay as it just blows the original fuse. Loud. Very loud. I had one on my Roadstar 1600, now the Lux has one.

Had the Stebel air horns and replaced them for the red Hellas. the air horns were hard to squeeze in with my winch and ended up pointing anywhere but forward. They sound awesome but settled for the Hellas, which are nicely loud.
