Caliper Bolt

G'day Fellas.....i heard a grinding sound similar to metal to metal worn out brake pads and after pulling the wheel off found i had a missing caliper bolt, does anyone in the Sydney area have a spare bolt i could grab to get me out of trouble till i can get to a Toyota next week.....cheers

Forget the name of them, but the wreckers at Kirrawee that was owned and run by the Laws brothers (Ken & John) will be able to help you out.

Do you know what road they are on ? i think i have missed them now....i think they all close around 3....

Over 20 years since I was in Sydney, but they were a street or 2 behind the big Toyota joint. Which is of course another option.
You can also try Bunnings if you know the right thread & length sizes, but this option should NOT go beyond tomorrow. Both the Toyota & wreckers options used to be open on Sundays.

Where in the shire are you? I used to know a "Turtle" in Gymea back in the day? I think he drove a Cooper S back then.

Not me Rob....never owned a Cooper, but i am right next to Gymea...in Grays Point

Yeah i think that was me.....i was changing a CV a few weeks back and woke up the next morning wondering if i tightened the Caliper mount Bolts.....i then forgot to check....so.....Guilty...

Grew up in the Point as a proud possum. You should also be able to get your Torque specs tomorrow if you get your bolt at Toyota Kirrawee.

They're not open Sat/Sun anymore and you order online which sux because they only seem to list passenger cars.....the Kirrawee Spare Parts down Bath road is just a pick up place now I'm pretty sure....

Okie then, not sure if Ken & John Laws are even still there either, but there used to be plenty of wreckers around the shire. There's also plenty of Supercheap, Auto-one, & other similar joints around, one of them should be able to help you out.
