Tray advice

Postby rudyy on Sat, 20 May 2023 6:32 +0000

Hi everyone,
I am going to purchase a new extra cab 4x4 Hilux to fit an Intrepid slide on camper onto it.
I was going to get the factory fitted alloy tray (alloy for weight saving) but thought that maybe I'd be better off getting an aftermarket alloy tray with a slide out drawer and a couple of undertray ute boxes.
Can anyone recommend a tray supply/manufacturing company in Victoria?
Also, if anyone has any advice re the purchase then that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If no-one has any info, you can always do a quick google search and even ship one from elsewhere, just remember to factor in freight costs.

Just had a thought, check out ARB as well, maybe Supercheap Auto, AutoOne, those sorta mobs as well.

Max alloy will build to your needs
They made my alloy roof rack to my needs never look like braking when I sold that car they modified the mounts to soot the new car.
There in the central coast of NSW.
Just google up Max alloy accessories at Wyong

You are on the right track with an aluminium tray - steel one from toyota is 308kg and a drawer will be easily over 50kg.

just a suggestion - talk to the camper supplier, they should be able to tell you what works well with there product and might even supply and install the tray
