There are 3 types of hub, 2 are free wheeling 3rd isn't
Manual, you get out and turn the dial
Auto, when you select 4wd it lock them
permanently locked, front diff is always rotating
When hubs are locked front and rear wheels travel at same speed, and so do the gears in the transfer case, so shifting at speed is ok
If front diff is free wheeling and you try to engage 4wd you'll have gears gears trying to engage to gears that arnt turning,
Going h4 to h2 can be done at any speed as your only side gauging the front
High to low you can normally shift under 8kph but best to stop
farting is alot like jxxxxxg off. both provide instant gratification, but neither is a long term solution to the actual problem......................
