A few questions

Postby Two89w on Mon, 03 Oct 2016 4:43 +0000

I was all set to buy a fortuner however the wife said to me today what about a hilux with a canopy?

So here he we go again and do some more homework....

I have two dogs, a Staffordshire and an AmStaff which will need to be transported around with the four of us.

To save me posting in a few different places I thought I may get away with putting it here.

What is the maximum legal lift height in nsw that doesn't require engineers cert?

Is it possible to run a softer rear spring and have an air bag when carrying a load?

I have had a bit of look around and couldn't see a Hi roof canopy available? Is there such a thing?

Pretty sure 50mm is still the legal max (including tyres)

0-300kg springs with airbags is actually pretty common, so yes.

Don't hold me to this because I haven't seen the range for current Hilux's, but I think ARB still offer high roof versions.

By the time you add a canopy and soften the springs etc you could easily by a Prado gxl that will give you a nice ride
