Bottom pin on PWR HEAT switch is dash light 12v.
I found that with the switch I have, the dash light only illuminates when High Beam is on.
I suppose I can live with that.

going back to the original question steve had, I bought a set of Narva 225 Ultimas and used the original loom I just can't get the thing to work I mean the lights do not come on and the LEDs on the switch are off.
I connected the trigger wire to a Yellow/Red stripe wire under the dash just below the steering, should I take it through the firewall and hook it up to yellow/red wire just behind the headlight?
But aren't they the same wire?
This original loom comes with a switch that has accommodated for negative and positive switched vehicles I've left it on Negative.
Would appreciate if anyone can help

If you are trying to use the original loom without using their dodgy looking mouse switch I couldn't work out why but no matter what other switch I used it wouldn't work.
I ended up following Boxhead's advice.

I did it in mine just yesterday, mine has the wheel on the left side, you need to remove the cover from below the wheel, it has 3 screws one in each side of the wheel( need to spin it to one side then to the other one)
and there is one below. the connector we are looking is the one of the lights.
the wire marked is the one you must connect to ground with a switch in between ( the one you like)
also if you switch happen to have a light you can "take"+12 from the other green wire in the second row, be careful to test before hand, some switches have bridges in between, as long as you have the switch working, connect to the wire mentioned, may be some more work will have the switch with light
coonect this wire to ground
In this place under the dash in the left side you have a very good place to grab ground

I have wired up the light bar on my 2008 Lux as per this diagram to be operable with high beam and everything works as it should , however the push button switch on the steering column stays illuminated even when the keys are out of the ignition and lights turned off.
any suggestions how to make the switch lights powered off ?
i dont have a separate rocker switch to power them off . do i need to ?

Your switch illuminates because the LED has 12V and GND (The red/yellow highbeam wires will connect ~12v to the switched load when highbeams are off... think of it as a lamp with only +ve connected, it wont light up... then if you check multimeter voltage on the -ve side of the lamp to -ve battery, you will see 12V...
You'll need to re-arrange the connections at the relay and switch like my diagram above, if you want to use the same switch with internal LED... otherwise you need a special switch with separate lamp that is not internally connected to the switched load...

Hey guys can someone tell me what colour wire is the high beam positive and the parker light positive in a 2012 SR5. I am fitting a set of Fyrlyts and they came with a wiring loom. I read here somewhere that 2012 models are positive switched. Is this correct? Will let you know how i go.

Do you have daytime running lights?
Just checked the wiring diagram and there are 2 version... systems with daylight running lights are positive switched. I was wrong!

Pretty sure it's the models with auto switching headlights wire up as positive switching. Spotties on my 2013 SR5 only worked properly wired up for positive, same as Bucks'.
