OEM Fog Lamp Harness - meaning ?

HI All,

Does anyone know what the colours of the OEM fog harness going into the plug mean ? as ive now got matching Switches and id like to have the FOG one in place and working but im buggered if i know what the colours all mean as in what goes where........ i know what the pins mean on the new switch , just the OEM colours are bugging me

If you can find the wires that come down from the light switch on the steering column, its the light pink wire that needs to be spliced into and have a switch added to it... It controls the fog lamps... Refer my build up for pics of the stripped colum. I spliced in under the rhs lower dash behind the panel and just added a temp switch for the moment...

Mine could be different, what ive got is as far as i can see, is a white plug coming through to the switch where the alarm light is ( the panel ) to the right, there seems to be 4 wires in the plug that goes into the factory switch, but now that i've got 2 of the matching new-protech ones, and ive got one working for the IPF's i now need to know what the coloured wires in the white plug mean so i can plug them into the switch.

Mines definalty a factory harness and its got the white coded TOJO sticker still on it.

So did you have a factory fog light switch alreday in the lower rhs panel of buttons? If so, Im not sure... Mines the 09 SR so although I dont have the correct stalk all the wireing and releys are installed, I just had to splice into the switch wire wich was the pink one I mentioned,

If you alreday have the switch there, wouldn't you just remove the wires are reattach?

Or have I got this all wrong... Pics would help

Roger... Worst case scenario I'll send you the manual and wireing diagrams... easy enough to follow even for people like me who have NFI about electronics...

Do you have the schematics ? bcoz mate i know BUGGER all about auto electrics unless its Red for + and Black for -

Installing sahara bar on a SR with no fogs fitted..Is this the plug for oem fogs ? Wires are redy/pinkish n white and black and white

That is the plug/harness ^^ red and a white with black stripe, they cut the plugs off my wiring harness to connect the ARB fog lamps. not happy after I strictly specified not to cut them off
