hey i cant remember exactly but:

the middle wire is not used.
One side there is a pair of wires that are a amber light on the switch, the other side is another pair of wires that are your switching wires. on one side Use a 6v power source to find out which side the amber light lights up with.
now from your spotty loom there should be a negative switching wire that comes live when high beam is on. A return wire and a constant positive supply wire.

now the pos supply wire goes to one side of the amber light wires. the other light wire goes to the return wire from ya spottys. Now for the switching wires, one side of the switch wire goes to the negative switching wire from the spotty loom the other wire from the switch goes to the negative side of the light which is also the return wire to the loom.
hope this is right im only going by memory lol
a test light and multimeter are ya friend  to make sure ya got it right lol
hope this helps ya
Cheers Troy

KTM, can you draw a quick diagram? I tried wiring it up and the amber light is on until the parkers are turned on, then it turns off - just a bit backwards.....

Yes the middle wire is not used, I have one on my Lux, but i opened and modified it so it can be reverse acting. I am using mine for the Steinbauer chip.

They fit in well no problems.

ok........need a little help with this one.

Connected as above and all seemed to work until I switched off the ignition, then the switch glows dim and when pressed glows bright.
Testing the high beam switch wire, its seems to be +ve when off and -ve when on. This seems to be powering the LED in the switch.
Any ideas where i've gone wrong???????

Um it can be done, just cant remember how to do it now, but i fiddled for a while and the black wires that came with the switches just got shorter and shorter. LOL

I do remember that I couldnt get the dash light to work on my spot light switch because of the neg wiring, but the dash light does work when spot lights are on.

Sorry i cant be more help.

Yeah the high beams work...................

I think I might have found the problem.
I tapped into the cig lighter for a 12v source but this is switched via ignition.
I'll try wiring to constant 12v and hopefully this solves the prob.

there should be a constant +ve on your spotlight loom what brand loom have you got? I used the IPF loom.

cheers Troy

The dealers fitted the piranha kit, it does have a +ve but only in the engine bay.

Anyhow got it working by connecting a constant +ve. Silly mistake.
thanks for your help.
