Dual Battery in tub - where to route Battery cables

Hey all,

Im installing an aux battery into the tub to run a 12v setup. Battery will be mouted in a custom marine ply/marine carpet box at the front of the tub. I know I can run the battery cable up behind the tail lights to get into the tub, but prefer to bring it up closer to the aux battery.

Any suggestions on how to get it into the tub at the front and still keep the tub waterproof?

Front corners under the top lip there's a hole or drill a hole with a rubber grommet
