Aftermarket tacho signal wire

I bought an aftermarket tacho to put in my 07 tgn16r workmate as it doesn't have one . all other wires are hooked up except the tacho signal wire .Does anyone know where to hook it too. Any help appreciated to thanks in advance

Just checking ... You're not trying to put a Tacho made for a petrol engine into a diesel or vice versa are you?

this thread reckons the wiring loom is the same across all models the wiring will be on the back of the dash plug.

page 76 says its a b-w wire connected to terminal A4 on the enigine ecu
page 77 says the b-w goes to A7 on the combo meter
Id start looking at the back of the combo meter
how to prove its the right wire before connecting? cross fingers
How do I know I'm showing you the right wiring diagram I don't unfortunately.
weather the aftermarket taco will work with the toyato factory signal what ever it is???????????
