Seat airbag plugs

Seat airbag plugs

Hey all,

So today I decided to pull the seats out of my 2012 Kun26 to give it a decent clean inside. This is the first time I've had the seats out and on the driver side they yellow airbag plug had some very dodgy soldering work done on the seat side about 5mm up from the plug. It looks like whoever had owned the car before has snapped the wires at some point and done a piss poor job soldering it back together.

My question/s is. Am I right in assuming they are a special type of plug and I can't just replace it with say a duetsch plug?

Also, if I put the seats back in with what is essentially the airbag unplugged and reconnect the battery will it set the airbag off? Or will it be safe to drive to get a part to sort the issue?

On a side not the passenger side hadn't been tampered with and came out without issue.

Thanks guys

Probably have to buy the loom, just fix what you’ve got. It will log an airbag code if you turn the keys on.
